1983: The Imperial Arabian Stud, Diana Lodge, Purton, Nr. Swindon, Wiltshire, UK

Breeding Facility - The largest collection of purebred Crabbet Arabians in the entire U.K.

Position: Stud Groom (approximately 30 head of horses)

Description: Daily care and management Arabian stallions, mares and young stock.  Assisting with covering, foaling, handling and exercise of stallions, mares and foals.

 

1984 – 1987: Summerhouse Farm Riding Centre, Minety, Wiltshire, UK

Dressage, Show Jumping, Point-to-Point, Hunting, and Cross-Country Facility. 

Position: Assistant Instructor (approximately 50 head of horses)

Description: Teaching private and group lessons; all ages and abilities, escorting rides in the countryside.  Breaking, training and exercising of horses.  Care, management and exercising of boarded horses, school horses, hunters and point-to-pointers.

 

1990: Courtown Thoroughbred Stud, Blunsdon, Wiltshire, UK

Breeding and Training Facility – Home of Tetradonna, Summoned By Bells

Position: Stud Groom (approximately 25 head of horses)

Description: Daily care and exercise of young stock prior to Tattersalls Yearling Sales.  Breaking, training and exercising of 2 year olds.

 

1991 – 1998: Summerhouse Farm Riding Centre, Minety, Wiltshire, UK

Dressage, Show Jumping, Point-to-Point, Hunting, and Cross-Country Facility. 

Position: Instructor (approximately 60 head of horses)

Description: Teaching private and group lessons; all ages and abilities, escorting rides in the countryside.  Supervising day camps and residential riding holidays, teaching disadvantaged children. Breaking, training and exercising of horses.  Care, management and exercising of boarded horses, school horses, hunters and point-to-pointers.

 

1994 – 2001: Various Locations, Wiltshire, UK

Position: Self-employed Riding Instructor/Trainer

Description: Teaching and training horse and rider; dressage, show jumping and cross country, care and management of horses, training and competing.  Competing clients’ horses in dressage, show jumping and cross country disciplines.

 

1998 – 2001: Hulberts Green Riding, Brinkworth, Wiltshire, UK

ABRS & BHS Approved Riding Facility: dressage, show jumping and cross country.

Position: Instructor

Description: Teaching private, semi-private and group lessons, all ages, beginner through advanced.  Escorting rides in the countryside.  Supervising day camps, competitions and events.  Teaching RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) students.

 

2001 – To Date:  Colorado Springs and Surrounding Area, Colorado, USA

Position: Self-employed Riding Instructor/ Trainer

Description: Teaching and training horse and rider within the Colorado Springs vicinity in dressage and hunter/jumper disciplines.  Assisting clients with show preparation and presentation.  Competing dressage and hunter/jumper on clients’ horses.  Daily (24/7) care and management of boarded horses (max. 20 horses).  Hosting and judging schooling shows;  h/j , dressage, trail and hosting clinics and workshops.
